Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) (England) course now being delivered at Sanctus Training

Sanctus Training are now delivering the accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) (England) course.

With over 300, 000 people trained since the MHFA developed the course, businesses are becoming more aware of the importance of employees wellbeing and being urged to support individuals affected by mental health issues. While first aid for physical health crises is a familiar notion in developed countries, conventional first aid training has not generally incorporated mental health problems.

The two day MHFA course is aimed at those who may have to deal with adults experiencing mental health issues. Delegates will gain skills, knowledge and understanding of first aid for adult mental health and how to effectively support individuals experiencing distress. Delegates will develop an understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing. They will also acquire skills to spot the symptoms of mental health.

Kevin Hithersay, Mental Health First Aid Trainer for Sanctus Training, believes the course to be “Two days that may change your life and the way you view mental health.”

A candidate who attended the course with Sanctus Training earlier in the year describes the course as “totally captivating…” and was motivated for the whole two days.

The next Mental Health First Aid (England) course delivered at Sanctus Training will be on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd January 2019. For further information please contact the training team on 01453 899101, or info@sanctustraining.co.uk
