Who should attend:

This course is suitable for all workers who may be required to use fire extinguishers and show leadership in a fire situation or make fire risk assessments.

Course Content:

This course incorporates fun, dynamic and memorable training methods to optimise learner recall.  Delegates will be able to recognise common fire hazards as identified by the ‘fire triangle’ which is accepted practice.

Emergency procedures will be explored and delegates will gain knowledge of any specific requirements which need to be implemented. Emphasis will be placed on fire prevention but delegates will be prepared to act safely in the event of a fire. The importance of leadership in a fire situation will be stressed.

Delegates will be made aware of routine tests and checks that are required and the record to be kept.

The course will also cover the duties of a Fire Marshal.

Practical demonstration and use of fire extinguishers will give delegates confidence to operate them in the event of a fire.

Outcomes:

On completion the delegate will understand all aspects of fire safety.  A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded.

Delegate Preparation:

There is no requirement for delegates to have any previous knowledge of fire safety, meaning it is suitable for beginners.
