
Refrigeration Electrics
Course candidates will demonstrate an advanced 3 phase testing ability to undertake advanced wiring and electrical tasks over the two day period – whilst being able to test that the work is safe to put back into service.

Awarding Body
Objectives:
To enable delegates to undertake electrical work to comply with the requirements of the Electricity at Work Act 1990. Delegates will be able to demonstrate that they can undertake advanced wiring and electrical tasks and are able to test that the work is safe to put back into service.

Who should attend?
Practicing Electricians with basic electrical theory who service, repair, fault-find and install replacement electrical components on refrigerated systems.
Course Content:
Delegates will be required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test paper and a practical assessment.
The course consists of the following topics;
- Electrical equipment used with Refrigeration systems
- Protection
- Controls
- Detectors
- Motors – Including 3 phase motors
- Star Delta starters
- Typical Electrical circuits
Typical Electrical Circuits Essential Electrics practical assessments consists of one open book assessment paper split into 5 practical tasks/scenarios;
- Electrical Termination
- Electrical Testing
- Commissioning Refrigeration Panel/Installation/System
- Electrical Component Inspection
- Exchange Electrical Component/ Fault finding
Outcomes:
Delegates will understand electrical supply systems, controls and protective equipment, earthing and safety checks, cable termination and installation, maintenance and fault finding to be safe, be able to have the knowledge to demonstrate advanced three-phase testing ability, wiring and electrical tasks.
Delegate Preparation:
Delegates should be practicing electricians that are able to demonstrate working knowledge of electrical theory.
Delegates must provide valid ID on the first day of the course, such as a passport or driving licence

Refreshments:
A buffet style lunch will be provided, along with refreshments when delivered at a Sanctus Training venue.
