Installation of Commercial Split Cooling & Heat Pump Air Conditioning Applications
This 2-day course familiarises delegates with the specific skills needed to work in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industries.
Engineers will be able to meet the minimum legal qualification to install, commission, service, maintain, recover and leak check all refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump systems in accordance with the F-Gas Regulation EC842/2006. Additionally, candidates will gain the knowledge, skill and techniques to meet best practice standards to braze copper pipework to a certified standard.
To expand candidate’s knowledge in the above applications.

Who Should Attend?
New entrants or existing workers who wish to acquire relevant skills and knowledge to pursue or enhance a career in the refrigeration, air-conditioning or heat pump industries.
The course will cover the following topics;
- Health and safety legislation
- Approved codes of practice
- Installation of split systems
- Survey design and setting to work
- Mechanical installation of a single and or three phase application
- Commission or decommission
- Hand-over and witness
The course is intended to familiarise the delegates with the specific skills required to work within the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry.
Delegates must hold a City & Guild 2079 F-Gas qualification.
