
Brazing
A 2-day training course, which enables delegates to demonstrate competent brazing to the industry standard, including the safe use of oxy-acetylene and basic brazing techniques.

To gain the knowledge, skills and techniques to meet best practice standards to braze copper pipework to a certified standard.

Who should attend?
Engineers who work within air-conditioning and refrigeration must hold a certificate in brazing as proof of competence and compliance to industry standards.
Course Content:
Delegates will practice and gain competency in the areas of brazing procedures relevant to the BSEN 378 legislation and codes of Best Practice. A range of differing copper pipe sizes up to 7/8″ will be used along with a variety of materials and brazing alloys. Each delegate must produce effective, leak free joints which include copper/copper and copper/mild steel using safe brazing techniques.

Outcomes:
This course will enable delegates to demonstrate competent brazing to the industry standard, including safe use of oxy-acetylene and basic brazing techniques which are used in the RAC systems
On successful completion of the course delegates will achieve a FETA B.R.A level 2 or 3 certificate which is valid for 3 years.

A buffet style lunch is provided, along with refreshments when delivered at a Sanctus Training venue.
