CITB Temporary Works General Awareness Training Course (TWGATC)
Providing a guidance to the temporary works process – this course helps the delegate gain an understanding of temporary works and the roles and responsibilities of specific duty holders.
Delegates will have an overview of the requirement to manage temporary works. They will gain knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of specific duty holders and how to support the temporary works process.

Who Should Attend?
This Site Safety Plus course is ideal for anyone who may be involved, but not responsible for the temporary works process. The course will benefit directors, managers, foreman, planners, estimators, designers, clients’ representatives, graduates, new entrants to the construction industry, and those who oversee contractors managing temporary works.
The one day course covers the importance of risk management and the need to plan for temporary works. Delegates will also gain knowledge of what may be considered as temporary works, the issues that may arise and the processes that should be in place to manage temporary works.
There will be a multiple choice test on completion of this course. Successful delegates will be able to demonstrate an underpinning knowledge and improved ability to support the temporary works process. The course will provide a good foundation for further temporary works courses such as Temporary Works Coordinator and Temporary Works Supervisor.
Successful delegates will be issued with a certificate valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, delegates will need to retake the course before the expiry date.

There are no set entry requirements for this qualification. However, delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.
A buffet style lunch and refreshments will be provided when delivered at a Sanctus Training venue.
