CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Payment
For online payments, course fees are payable in full at the time of booking.

Places on courses arranged by Sanctus Training Limited or a third Party Partner are strictly limited. Courses are only provisionally booked until full payment has been received, therefore, a place is not guaranteed until payment is received.

All courses fees must be received 14 days before course date.

Please note, no Training Certification or Cards will be issued prior to receiving full payment.

Cancellation and Refund

Cancellations are to be made in writing. If the Buyer wishes to cancel/ postpone a course, the following policy will apply unless agreed by prior arrangement:

  • More than 4 weeks prior to the course start date: 0% fees are payable
  • 7 – 14 days prior to the course start date: 50% fees are payable
  • 7 – 0 days prior to the course start date: 100% fees are payable

Alternatively, a candidate can be substituted up to 24 hours before the start of the course.

It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of Sanctus Training Limited to change the date, time, content and instructor. Sanctus Training Limited reserves the right to cancel a course up to and including the date of the course. In the unlikely event that a course should be cancelled/ postponed, Sanctus Training Ltd will endeavour to provide an alternative date. Sanctus Training Limited disclaim any further liability.

If the alternative date is not suitable a full refund will be provided.

In the event that a payment is to be refunded, Sanctus Training Limited will endeavour to process all refunds as quickly as possible. Refunds can only be made to the card account or bank account from which the refundable payment was made.

In the event of a candidate failing an assessment, it is the responsibility of the candidate to arrange the date and payment for the reassessment direct with the Course Tutor/Company.

This 1-day interactive course has been designed for Company Directors with the aim of recognising the human and financial implications of health and safety legislation non-compliance.



Awarding Body

Objectives:

At the end of the course delegates will be able to recognise the moral, economic and legal costs and implications of decisions made in the boardroom, understand the importance of strategic risk management; appreciate the consequences of failing to manage health and safety adequately, acknowledge the need to appoint competent health and safety expertise to assist them in carrying out their health and safety responsibilities, and develop a strategy for implementing a positive health and safety culture within their organisation.

Course duration is 1 day

Who Should Attend?

The one day CITB Site Safety Plus course is aimed at Company Directors and Senior Managers.

Course Content:

Delegates will explore the risks associated with non-compliance of health and safety legislation, and consider how boardroom decisions impact on the health and safety of the workforce.

The course will cover the moral, economic and legal costs/implications of decisions made in the boardroom. Delegates will understand the importance of strategic management of risks and appreciate the consequences of failing to manage health and safety effectively.

Delegates will also understand the importance of competent duty holders cooperating, communicating and coordinating health and safety throughout the whole project.

Following the course delegates will be able to recognise the need to appoint competent health and safety assistance and the limitations of such an appointment, and be able to identify the basic tools for introducing a proactive health and safety culture into their organisation.

During the course delegates will develop a bespoke action plan for improving health and safety within their own organisation based around the ‘Plan, Do, Check, Act’ principles.

Outcomes:

The course will provide a summary of how to promote a positive organisational culture for health and safety.

This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual or group presentations.  Delegates will be continuously assessed and required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test.  100% attendance is required for eligibility for the final test.

Successful delegates will be issued with a certificate valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, delegates will need to retake the course before the expiry date.

This course is recognised and endorsed by Build UK as the standard for all directors and senior managers.

 

This Director’s Role for Health and Safety Course is listed in the Construction Training Directory. Delegates’ achievements will be listed on the Construction Training Register.

 

Delegate Preparation:

There are no set entry requirements for this qualification. Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.  Delegates will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to the course.

Delegates must provide valid ID on the first day of the course, such as a passport or driving licence.

Refreshments:

A buffet style lunch is provided, along with refreshments when delivered at a Sanctus Training venue.
