Other hobbies /pastimes include; Olive Harvesting with parents in Cyprus, Woodworking craft projects, family (I’ve got teenagers!) and walking.

 

George is a widely experienced Asbestos Manager, Surveyor and Consultant. As a Trainer with Sanctus Training Ltd, George delivers UKATA asbestos courses and the CAT & Genny course.

George works closely with his students to ensure their training meets the needs that are required with particular emphasis on task specific bespoke subject delivery.

 

With graduate entry as an Assistant Site Manager, George’s career developed as a building surveyor, gaining a broad range of experience which included heritage, listed and historic building repairs within commercial organisations through to working with local government maintaining estate and undertaking design, conception and feasibility studies. George has worked for over 10 years as an Asbestos and Health & Safety Manager within the MOD. With full budgetary control he actively managed, removed asbestos, and reinstated aged and dated government estate. His experience and knowledge gained in this area of managing large budgets and deadline driven development was invaluable in achieving a solid commercial knowledge in the sector. George implemented safety policy schemes, supplied advice and direction, and oversaw contractors and in-house staff training. Additionally he has many years of Legionella Management experience as a Facilities Manager for the MOD estate consisting of over 7000 people on a single site.

Amongst various other qualifications, George holds the P402 and P405 Asbestos qualifications through the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS), and the NEBOSH General and Construction Certificates. He is also a Technical Member of IOSH.
