Temporary Works remains big news in construction!

“Temporary works (TW) are the parts of a construction project that are needed to enable the permanent works to be built. Usually the TW are removed after use – eg access scaffolds, props, shoring, excavation support, falsework and formwork, etc. Sometimes the TW is incorporated into the permanent works – eg haul road foundations and crane or piling platforms may be used for hardstanding or road foundations.” Source HSE

Sanctus Training delivers Temporary Works training accredited through the CITB, our next course is running Wednesday 6 & Thursday 7 April 2016.

During this 2 day course:

Delegates will gain knowledge and understanding of temporary works and the role of the temporary works coordinator.

The statutory requirements for temporary works will be covered, including risk assessment, method statements and the code of best practice BS5975.

Anyone on-site who manages all types of temporary works should attend. There are no set entry requirements for this qualification, however, delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English. Prior knowledge of BS5795 would be advantageous but not essential.
