New First Aid at Work Annual Update course

Sanctus Treading have added a new course to their Qualsafe Awards First Aid at Work suit.

The HSE recommends that first-aiders attend an annual refresher course.

The 3 hour update is suitable for personnel across all industry sectors, for example, operatives, supervisors, managers and directors, construction workers, ground workers, maintenance personnel, engineers, plumbers, electricians, and teachers. This highly practical course incorporates fun, dynamic and memorable training methods to optimise learner recall, knowledge and confidence. Delegates will gain both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies in accordance with the Health & Safety Executive’s (HSE) guidance.

The course will concentrate on; assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, the recovery position, CPR, wounds and bleeding, managing a casualty in shock, and seizures. Delegates will also have the opportunity to learn the latest techniques and first aid procedures. On completion of the course delegates will have a further understanding of the role of the first-aider, the importance of preventing cross infection and the need for recording incidents and actions. Delegates will also have a renewed confidence as a first-aider. Delegates will be continually assessed throughout the duration of the course.

Sanctus Training are delivering the First Aid at Work Annual Refresher on the 27th September at their training venue in Cam, Gloucestershire.
