Objectives:

The IOSH Managing Safely® course will provide an understanding of the importance of working safely and healthily, thus, fewer work hours lost due to sickness and accidents, improve safety awareness within the company, increase staff involvement to improve health & Safety, and improve the company reputation within the supply chain

Course duration is 3 days

Who should attend:

This course is aimed at managers and supervisors in any industry, responsible for the health and safety of employees and the business.

Course Content:

This IOSH Managing Safely course will cover the following topics:

• Assessing risks
• Controlling risks
• Understanding responsibilities
• Understanding and identifying hazards
• Investigating accidents and incidents
• Managing safely
• Measuring performance

Candidates will be provided with facts and case studies from around the world. Each module is supported by examples, scenarios and summaries reinforcing key learning points.

Outcomes:

Following the course delegates will be able to; understand responsibilities for safety and health, assess and control risks and hazards, investigate incidents, and measure safety and health performance.

Successful delegates are awarded an IOSH Managing Safely certificate which is valid for 3 years.

Candidates must complete the 1-day Managing Safely Refresher course to maintain the qualification.

Delegate Preparation:

There is no requirement for delegates to have any previous knowledge, however, delegates should be working in a supervisional or managerial role.
