Who should attend?

Suitable for all personnel across all industry sectors. For example – operatives, supervisors, managers and directors, construction workers, ground workers, maintenance personnel, engineers, plumbers, electricians, and teachers.

Course Content:

This highly practical course incorporates fun, dynamic and memorable training methods to optimise learner recall, knowledge and confidence. Delegates will gain both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies in accordance with the Health & Safety Executive’s (HSE) guidance.

The course concentrates on emergency techniques including; resuscitation, care of the unconscious casualty, choking and control of bleeding.

Training is also provided for the treatment of other common potential emergencies including; choking, asthma and anaphylaxis.

Outcomes:

Delegates will be continually assessed by the trainer throughout the course.
Certificates awarded will be valid for 3 years with a strong recommendation to refresh resuscitation annually.

Delegate Preparation:

There is no requirement for delegates to have any previous knowledge of first aid for this course. Due to the practical nature of this course delegates should wear appropriate clothing and footwear, e.g. trousers and flat footwear.

Refreshments:

Hot and cold drinks available when delivered at a Sanctus Training venue.
