Who should attend?
This Site Safety Plus course is a popular route for anyone looking to take their first step towards obtaining a CSCS Labourers (Green) Card. This 1 day course is aimed at those who have entered, or are about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry as a member of the workforce to help them understand the potential hazards that they face at work on-site.
Course Content:
Delegates will gain an understanding of their individual responsibilities for their own safety and the safety of others on site. Typical construction hazards and how these are controlled will be examined, demonstrating how everyone can help achieve better practical standards of safety on site.
Delegates will be made aware of their legal requirements and liabilities for safety and occupational health. The course has a broad syllabus introducing delegates to construction health and safety requirements.
Outcomes:
Delegates will be expected to undertake a multiple choice test at the end of this course. Successful completion of this course is the first step towards a CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card). CSCS cards confirm that card holders have achieved a minimum standard of relevant health and safety training and can be used as a reliable method of checking that site workers have the appropriate skills to work on construction sites safely and effectively.
Certificates awarded will be valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, delegates will need to retake the course before the expiry date.
This Health & Safety Awareness course is listed in the Construction Training Directory. Delegates’ achievements will be listed on the Construction Training Register.
