Did you know … asbestos was regularly used in buildings from the 1950s until the late 1990s. It is still found extensively today in many buildings, both domestic and non-domestic premises including schools, shops, even the local village hall. It was widely used as insulation and in fire proofing. It can be found in ceiling tiles, as pipe insulation, on boilers, floor coverings and sprayed coatings. If asbestos is disturbed, and not managed properly, it can be a killer.
